Three Day Course
- The Power-Carved Rocking Horse
The Ultimate Heirloom
Of all the wooden toys I have produced, the wooden rocking
horse would be the pinnacle—it has a
long tradition going back hundreds of years.
It is valued not only as a toy, but as a decorator
item in the home long after the children have
outgrown it. There is nothing to compare with
a wood rocking horse as a family heirloom. I have
restored rocking horses that have been part of the
same family for 150 years. For a grandparent
or parent to buy, or even better make a wooden rocking
horse for the children or grandchildren can
start a great family tradition.
Have you always wanted to make a rocking horse
but been put off by:
- the complexity of the plans?
- the price of the timber/ accessories?
- the time, skill & money required to
master the gouges & chisels you thought
you would have to use?
Procrastinate No More
Now with Viktoria & Chris Woolcock’s
tuition, a 4” grinder, rotary rasp carving
aid and 3 days, you can complete a first class
wooden rocking horse, imparting your personal touch
along the way. Our course gives you your own
choice of colour and finishing which can be
undertaken at your own speed in a class size
that does not exceed 4 people. You will have
fun personalising your own truly unique rocking
horse to be treasured and valued for generations
as a family heirloom.
